Each year, Alaskans take to the streets on Good Friday to memorialize the final hours of Christ’s life before his crucifixion.
Tonight, we focus our attention on the Lord, Jesus, who was anointed by the Father and sent into the world. We give thanks for the gift of the priesthood of Jesus Christ, which he shares in an intimate way with the ordained, who minister in his person.
Organizers for this
year’s 40 Days for Life pro-life prayer vigil in Anchorage are hoping for a
large turnout at the final day of the campaign on April 14.
That night, from 6
p.m. to midnight, pro-life advocates will gather for a peaceful candlelight vigil
outside the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on 4001 East Lake Otis Parkway.
These upcoming Holy Week and Easter liturgies are scheduled across the Anchorage Archdiocese. Call the parishes for more information.
